Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the THRESIO platform, websites, and related services (the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Kinanen & Co Limited, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15929850), registered office 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, W1W 7LT (“THRESIO”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • The Platform is intended for verified healthcare professionals and authorised representatives of life sciences organisations.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Clinician access requires verification of your professional registration (for example, your GMC, NMC, GPhC, HCPC or GDC registration). You must provide accurate, current and complete information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
  • We may suspend or refuse verification, or restrict access, where we are unable to confirm your identity or professional standing.

3. The Platform

THRESIO is a governed healthcare interaction platform that enables verified clinicians to learn, share clinical insight, track professional development, and, where they explicitly choose to, engage transparently with life sciences organisations. Features may change, be added, or be withdrawn over time.

4. Professional responsibility and no medical advice

  • Content on the Platform, including clinical tools, calculators, articles and peer contributions, is for professional reference and educational purposes only.
  • It does not constitute medical advice and does not replace your own clinical judgement, local guidelines, or current formulary guidance.
  • You are solely responsible for any clinical decision you make. Always verify against current authoritative sources before acting.
  • You must not enter any patient identifiable information into the Platform, including into clinical tools.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose;
  • Post content that is defamatory, infringing, confidential, or that discloses patient identifiable information;
  • Promote specific products in breach of applicable advertising and promotion codes and regulations;
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or professional registration;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Platform;
  • Scrape, harvest, or resell content or data from the Platform without our written permission.

6. Your content

  • You retain ownership of the content you create and contribute (insights, responses, clinical data publications, CPD records, comments).
  • You grant THRESIO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute your content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service and displaying it to verified peers, in line with your chosen privacy settings.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not breach any confidentiality, intellectual property, or regulatory obligation.
  • We may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

7. Industry engagement

  • Participation in any industry engagement is voluntary and occurs only with your explicit, informed consent.
  • Aggregated, anonymised insight may be shared with life sciences partners. Identifiable engagement happens only where you have opted in and agreed specific terms.
  • All engagements are documented and, where applicable, compensated at fair market value.
  • We never sell your personal data and never share identifiable data with industry partners without your explicit consent.

8. Fees and payments

  • Access to core clinician features may be provided free of charge. Some features or engagements may involve fees or payments, which will be made clear before you commit.
  • Where you are entitled to compensation for a documented engagement, payment terms will be set out in the relevant engagement agreement.
  • You are responsible for any taxes arising on payments you receive.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and content we provide, is owned by or licensed to THRESIO and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your professional registration can no longer be verified, or where required by law.
  • On termination, the licences you have granted continue only to the extent necessary for content already shared with peers, subject to our Privacy Policy and your deletion rights.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that content is error-free or current.

13. Limitation of liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
  • Subject to the above, we are not liable for any clinical decision made in reliance on the Platform, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at thresio.com/terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
